Education Fair Didacta in Stuttgart from 22nd to 26th February 2011
Some musical activities that were developed in the Comenius Project "European Music Portfolio – a creative way into languages" were presented at Didacta – one of Europe's biggest education fairs by three primary schools from Baden-Württemberg in Stuttgart in February 2011.
Form 4 of Grundschule Schnait and headmaster Peter Carle presented musical activities for 60 Russian guests from Moskau and invited them to take part in the song "Morning has come".
Children from Langertschule Aalen and their teacher Susanne Engel had prepared musical activities – even with instruments like harps, xylophone, drum, and recorder - for the stand of the Commission.
When Europe Commissioner Günther Oettinger entered the hall to visit the Commission's Youth on the Move stand he was welcomed by the singing and moving children from Langertschule Aalen and joined in the musical activities.
The choir of Körschtalschule Stuttgart-Plieningen and their teacher Simone Lauenstein visited the Didacta with the parents who had most pleasure watching their children singing and speaking and moving around.
