Jörg was a teacher for English and Geography at secondary school level for many years before he was seconded to Paderborn University, Germany. His Ph.D. in Second Language Acquisition Research was supervised by Manfred Pienemann. After he had gained his Ph.D. Jörg was a visiting research fellow at Newcastle University (UK) at the School of Education, Communication and Language Sciences from July – November 2006.

His research interests encompass (instructed) Second Language Acquisition and Immersion Programmes from preschool to secondary education. In his current research he works on the evaluation and calibration of Rapid Profile, a computer-assisted diagnostic tool to trace L2 development. His publications include several books on the acquisition of L2 English in formal settings and a range of articles on task-based language teaching.

Robert Lang holds diplomas in music education, music theory and germanistics from the Universität der Künste and Freie Universität Berlin. PhD in history of italian opera. He has been teacher at secondary schools in Berlin and at the Laborschule Bielefeld, before pursuing his academic career as university lecturer at the Universität Bielefeld. Since 2007 Lang is Professor at PH Ludwigsburg, since 2009 he is head of Music and Art Department. He has authored articles and text books about music theory, european opera, music didactics at primary and secondary school. He is vice chairman of the “Bundesfachgruppe Musikpädagogik (BFG)” and of the “Konferenz Musikpädagogik an Wissenschaftlichen Hochschulen (KMpWH)”.
